Reaching Home

Home/Programs & Services/Reaching Home

The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society is the Indigenous Community Entity, responsible for managing the Government of Canada’s Reaching Home Strategy Indigenous funding in the Kelowna area. The Community Entity also provides support and guidance to the Indigenous Homelessness Community Advisory Board (IH-CAB), to assist with the approval of sub-project proposals.

The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society has extensive experience in delivering front-line Outreach support services, and has administered sub-projects under this funding for several years.

Reaching Home

Reaching Home is an initiative of the Government of Canada. It is a part of the National Housing Strategy, a 10-year $40 billion plan to lift thousands of Canadians out of housing need. Through Reaching Home, the Federal Government supports several Indigenous communities, designated communities, rural communities, and a funding stream for the territories.
