Annually, on October 4th, people gather in vigils across Canada to honour and remember the over 1,000 missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Check back here for more details on our next vigil as the date approaches. Please visit our ‘Volunteer‘ page if you want to help out with this event!

Our 2020 vigil was a smaller event, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We had approximately 25 supporters march from the Friendship Centre to the Bennett Bridge, and partway across the bridge, and back. A few impromptu remarks were made by some members of the RCMP task force, and attendees outside the Friendship Centre when we returned. Everyone left with bannock-dogs and juice and water, and we were able to keep everyone socially-distanced. We are hoping we can return to our larger event in 2021!
