Homelessness & Housing Support

Home/Programs & Services/Homelessness & Housing Support

Our Outreach & Housing support programs support clients who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness due to crisis or transition. Assistance is provided to find immediate or long-term housing within the community through connections and referrals to community programs. The program also provides a broad range of support for clients to access alcohol and drug counselling and treatment, transportation to medical appointments, help to apply for government benefits, life-skills, and other appropriate counselling and/or case-management in partnership and collaboration with other community service providers.

Outreach service hours are: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm weekdays (except statutory holidays).

Every Saturday morning (except holiday weekends and Christmas Recess) at 8:30 am, we serve our Saturday Outreach Breakfast – a hot breakfast available to all community members in need. Hot coffee is always available in our lobby each weekday morning that the Friendship Centre is open.

These programs are funded by: BC Housing, Aboriginal Housing Management Association, and the Government of Canada.
